2019 Credit Professional of the Year Award – SICA CANADA

On behalf of The Sports Industry Credit Association (SICA Canada), our entire membership and sponsors, we proudly announce this year’s recipient of the “Credit Professional of the Year” is Ms. Angela Ciccia from Head Canada.

About Ms. Angela Ciccia:
Angela is employed with Head Canada Inc.; a major sporting goods company known for skis, snowboards, and Tennis & other racquet sports (Selling under the brands of Head, Tyrolia, Holmenkol and Penn).

Angela has been in the field of credit management and in the sporting goods industry for over 35 years; all of which has been with HEAD Canada.

Angela has held her Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation since 2000 and she served as a board member of the Credit Institute of Canada, Conestoga chapter, for 10 years.

For many years, Angela has been on SICA’s Operating Credit committee and as an active member of the association.

Mr. Rob Morash, General Manager of Head Canada, said “… Angela has built a network of strong business relationships across the country, …. The role of Credit Manager in the industry can be a tricky one, balancing company obligations with customer situations that require empathy in times of hardship, e.g. no snow!

About the award:
SICA launched this award to recognize our industry’s top Credit Professionals; who embody the following characteristics: Leadership, professional knowledge, ethical and who are a valuable resource to their industry peers. Candidates are nominated by their peers.

Through this process numerous credit professionals were nominated from all across North America. Subsequently, a panel of judges from our industry independently reviewed the submissions and narrowed down to select a finalist. We would like to thank our membership for their participation.
